$7.26 Million Settlement Reached in Auto Parts Price-Fixing Case
August 18, 2017
Under the terms of a preliminarily approved deal in Michigan federal court, auto parts makers Koito Manufacturing and North American Lighting will pay $7.26 million to settle claims that they had conspired to fix the prices of various of their products related to car headlamps.
The complex Multi-District Litigation (MDL) case was launched in 2012. In 2014, Koito agreed to pay $56.6 million in criminal fines in a separate price-fixing scheme that also involved auto headlamps. The company also pled guilty to criminal price-fixing charges in 1988 and in 2010.
If you believe that one or more companies has conspired to artificially raise or fix the price of a product, you may be entitled to be part of a class action lawsuit. Contact TheLawFirm.com to find out how we can help you.
