This week, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission released information on the recalls of several products, including bicycle parts, utility vehicles, and chairs.
Tandem Bicycle Forks recall
Bicycle parts manufacturer Advanced Composites has recalled 40 of its Wound Up Tandem Duo Disc bicycle forks. The forks can crack, thereby posing a fall hazard to riders. Consumers may visit www.woundupcomposites.com to obtain a free replacement.
Kawasaki Recreational vehicle Recall
Vehicle manufacturer Kawasaki has recalled about 6600 of its Mule, Teryx, Teryx5, and Brute Force recreational and utility vehicles. On these vehicles, the fuel gauge retainers can collapse and/or leak fuel, thereby posing a serious fire hazard. Kawasaki is reaching out to all purchasers directly, but consumers may also visit www.kawasaki.com to arrange for a free repair.
staples office chair Recall
The major office-products manufacturer Staples has announced a major recall of some 124,000 of its Hazen Mesh office chairs. The legs on the base of the chair can break, thereby posing a fall and injury hazard. Consumers are advised to stop using the chairs, and to visit www.seatingrecall123.com to obtain a free replacement chair base and the instructions for attaching it.
