For the week of July 14-21, 2017, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recalls of several consumer products, including two recreational vehicles, a safety harness, and a children’s toy.

Recreational vehicle manufacturer Polaris has issued two separate recalls this week.

The company has recalled some 1200 of its RZR 570 and RZR S 570 recreational off-highway vehicles for crash and injury hazards. On both makes of this vehicles, the front brake can become detached, posing significant danger to drivers and onlookers. Consumers should stop using the vehicles immediately and contact Polaris at www.polaris.com to schedule a free repair.

Polaris has also issued a recall of more than 25,000 of its Sportsman 570 all-terrain vehicles. In these vehicles, fuel can leak into the headlight assembly, posing fuel leakage and fire hazards. Consumers should stop using the vehicles immediately and should contact Polaris at www.polaris.com to schedule a free repair.

Automotive accessory manufacturer Corbeau USA has issued a recall on about 2000 of its Camlock seat harness belts. The devices can unlock during use, allowing users to fall or be thrown from the vehicles in which they are riding. Consumers should cease using the devices immediately and contact Corbeau at www.corbeau.com for a refund or a free replacement.

Finally this week, toy manufacturer Manhattan Toy has recalled nearly 15,000 of its Winkel Colorburst activity toys in the U.S., and an additional 1000 in Canada. The toys’ brightly colored plastic tubes can become brittle and break into small pieces, posing a choking hazard to infants and toddlers. Customers should immediately take the toys away from children and contact the company at www.manhattantoy.com to receive a full refund. Refunds may also be obtained from the shops where the toys were purchased.
