Settlement reached in herbal supplement misleading labels mdl
Settlement Reached in Herbal Supplement Case
August 21, 2017
The 56 members of the plaintiff class in a Multi-District Litigation (MDL) case against Target, Walgreens, and Wal-Mart concerning misleading labels on herbal supplements have indicated that they will accept a proposed settlement.
The case, which also names herbal supplement maker NBTY as a defendant, focuses on the fact that the labels for various herbal supplements did not list “filler ingredients” such as asparagus, beans, citrus, primrose, and rice.
The 50-plus suits in the case were consolidated in Illinois federal court in 2015.
The details of the settlement have not been released.
